FUTURE & GOALS
Over 300,000 cardiac arrests happen in the United States each year with nearly 90% of them being fatal. The current approach to this is manual CPR and defibrillation. This motivated our team to question why hasn’t there been an alternative to this considering survival rates with manual CPR are about 10%. Realizing this, we decided to create our own life-saving device Flutter, which seamlessly integrates the two most crucial lifesaving techniques CPR and AED into a single medical device, improving the quality of CPR, removing fatigue, and increasing survival rates.

COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

Flutter has an advantage over our competitors in various different ways. Current AEDs that are on the market don’t have CPR capabilities, while the current CPR device doesn’t include an AED or defibrillation. This is where our device has the rest beat as it includes both CPR and an AED together. On top of that, our device is size adjustable to fit all different sizes which our main competitor Stryker lacks. With all of this included our device still manages to be more affordable than our competitor Stryker being $25,000.
